King Pig

King Pig is the pigs' leader and their king. He appears primarily in cutscenes, but also shows up in levels such as Level 1-VIII. He consistently sends out other pigs on food-related quests, especially in regards to attaining eggs. He is the driving force behind most of the events of the episodes, either directly or indirectly.

Description

He is the leader of the pigs and the only pig who is allowed to eat cakes, thus eats a lot of food. His big secret is that he doesn’t have any eggs in his treasure chamber. His real name is “Smooth Cheeks”, but few pigs use it.

Appearance

The King Pig wears a crown with three blue gems across the middle. He is bigger (or fatter) than all of the pigs seen in the game. He is also the biggest pig of all, apart from the Fat Pig in Angry Birds Space. He is 3x2 tiles big in game, the largest out of any object and equal in size to the Statue.

Personality

King Pig is shown to be a gluttonous and greedy pig, who never quits when it's for the quest to stealing the Angry Bird's Eggs. Like Ross, he will laugh if he feels your contraption is doing well, and scream if he for whatever reason goes above a certain speed. From time to time he will also mock your contraption in the build menu, but this can be hard to notice as he is rarely present.

Game Element

In the game, the King Pig takes up a 3x2 amount of space and is required to be present at the finish line for some levels in order to achieve two or three Stars. He is also very heavy. This will make some levels hard to three star, but you can earn the other stars without him first.

However, his actual hitbox only covers four tiles, these being the bottom three and the middle top. This can be used to link together a car and freeing up an extra box, but it should be noted that king pig is a very weak and inefficient building material, and due to a collision oversight, he the contraption will likely explode if he 'snaps'.

Mini-game

On the level selection screen of Bad Piggies, upon obtaining your first cake from Sandbox or Rise And Swine episode, you may notice a crown button on the lower right of the screen. (The NEW! icon also appears whenever a cake is collected throughout the level, along with how many were collected just then, beginning with +1.) Pressing it will lead you to the "Feed The King Pig", where you feed King Pig the desserts you collect while playing. Every normal dessert has a chance of King Pig giving the following items. The golden cupcake will make King Pig instantly give power-ups.

Power Ups

King Pig rarely gives you the said power-ups, but will give them out commonly when not fed for a long period of time or else he will give useless items. It is also more likely to gain coins when connected to an active internet connection, otherwise you will occasionally collect power-ups instead.
